“I Was Born into a Chiropractic Family”

I’ve lived a natural health lifestyle supported through chiropractic care my entire life. My Dad was a pioneer in the chiropractic field and helped chiropractors get New Jersey state license in 1953.

Through my father, Dr. William Cirino Sr.’s incredible care, guidance and mentoring, as well as practicing side by side with him for twenty years, and my own intensive on-going education and experience, I’ve been blessed with the ability to provide my patients with the benefits of classical chiropractic adjusting techniques as well as the newest light force mechanical adjusting techniques, cranial and TMJ adjusting and nutritional support.

A Change of Direction

Originally wanting to be a biology teacher, my direction changed while taking bio-sci courses at Rutgers. I heard so many Ph.D professors often talking about the latest health “research” they were doing. These professors were telling me a lot of what my father had been telling me about since I was a kid. My dad suddenly seemed a lot smarter after that.

One weekend visiting home from Rutgers, I witnessed my dad take care of a friend one early Sunday morning. The poor man had been in agony for months from a disc herniation and had tried all medical type therapies with no relief. He was crying, not only from the pain, but said that his boss was ready to “let him go”. He asked my dad if chiropractic could help.

My dad and I had to help the man come into the examination room as he could barely walk. Dad examined him and then gave him a chiropractic adjustment, the chiropractic method for treatment. After he adjusted him, the man got off the table, took a few less painful steps, turned around looking quite a bit straighter, and hugged my Dad, saying that was the best he had felt in six months. The joy in the man’s pain free face and my Dad’s smile were more than enough to tell me that I wanted to learn how to help those who suffer through chiropractic natural healthcare.

After fulfilling my dream of obtaining a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, I began to practice alongside my Dad. What an opportunity to learn first hand from a real pioneer in the world of natural healing.

Professional and Community Involvement

Since then, I’ve been involved with Chiropractic in many different areas. I have taught advanced chiropractic courses at New York Chiropractic College and University of Bridgeport Chiropractic College as well as at post graduate seminars around the country. I am a past president of the Bergen-Passaic Chiropractic Society as well as past board member of the NJ Chiropractic Society and founding board member of the Association of NJ Chiropractors. I have assisted the NJ Medical Board in testing chiropractors for licensure and have been involved legislatively in helping write and pass chiropractic legislation including our most recent practice act signed into law in 2009.

Continuing My Education

Despite learning from one of chiropractic’s leaders and teaching advanced courses, I have never stopped learning about new treatments and techniques to help my patients. I attend seminars almost monthly in all areas of chiropractic, nutrition, health and wellness topics. I achieved board certification in Cranial Technique and Sacro-Occipital technique and am also a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors. In addition, I am also certified in Chiropractic Primary Care for the family. This education and experience have enabled me to provide my patients as well as my profession in very unique and beneficial ways.

On a Personal Note…

In my “off” time, I enjoy hiking, biking, music, paddle boarding and reading up on the latest health related research. I love spending free time with my family and friends. I have lived a natural health lifestyle my entire life and endured more than a few jokes when I was growing up about all of the vitamin bottles that were our kitchen counter. Regular chiropractic care along with nutritious food, nutritional supplements and exercise have helped me and can help you live a healthier, more enjoyable life.
